By using Solid Pine and Solid Maple construction, we've created pieces with the weight and character to be in your family for generations. Because of Virginia Direct's commitment to use quality materials, genuine solid pine and maple have been used extensively in the construction of the American Cabin Collection. All tops, end panels, drawer fronts, doors, bed posts and exposed moldings have been constructed using solid pine and maple. To enhance the beauty, strength and durability of some panels, we have used decorative pine veneers over a solid pine core. Solid American Pine and Maple have a beautiful complexity in their grain variations. Nature has ensured that no two pieces will be the same. We have purposely left knots, minor splits and scratches, mineral streaks and other variationsin wood colors that distinguish genuine solid wood. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind treasure.
